How to Become a First Benefits Insurance Mutual Agent:

First Benefits Insurance Mutual is proud to have some of North Carolina’s finest agencies as workmans compensation insurance representatives. We are looking for additional agencies that are able to sell the value proposition that First Benefits Insurance Mutual has to offer.

As a membership-based workers’ compensation insurance carrier, we seek to align with agents that are not solely driven to sell a product based on price alone. Rather, we seek to appoint agents that are able to sell value; values such as coverage, service, benefits, and reputation. We also seek agencies that are looking to partner with a carrier for a long-term, productive, and profitable relationship.

If your agency fits these criteria, then we encourage you to contact our office at 888.393.2667 for more information on our process of agency appointment.

Benefits of Being an First Benefits Insurance Mutual Agent:

Ease of Doing Business –
Online Quoting, Direct Access to Underwriters, Competitive Commission Structure (including the ability to earn bonus commissions)

Financial Stability –
Although unrated by AM Best, First Benefits Insurance Mutual’s continued growth and reinsurance program have created a strong foundation. A foundation recognized by some of our peers as evidenced by their willingness to extend commercial umbrella products over our own.

Background on First Benefits Insurance Mutual, Inc.:

Over 25 years ago, the North Carolina Retail Merchants Association (NCRMA) created a workers’ compensation company and made it available exclusively to their members. Initially a self-insured fund, the company’s reputation grew based on outstanding service and competitive rates. Additional associations and chambers of commerce began to make it available as a member benefit to their organizations.

In 2008, the fund reformed as a mutual insurance company. First Benefits Insurance Mutual, Inc. emerged and is an outstanding, competitive workers compensation insurance provider for participating organizations and their members.
